Anti-Rattle Clips

Drum Brake Fitting Accessories

Fitting new major parts, such as drums and shoes, but re-using original springs, can seriously compromise braking performance. After only one or two years of use, tension on a brake shoe spring can be reduced by up to 30%. Caliper Slider Guide Pins

If the caliper is not free to move, the culprit might be bent or binding mounting pins. Even if guide pins are not damaged, swollen or hardened guide seals or lack of lubrication may cause the caliper to bind resulting uneven pad wear. Always inspect all mounting surfaces and hardware for corrosion, wear or misalignment. Apec slider pin kits include new dust seals and the correct high temperature grease to ensure long term restored performance.

Installation Bolts

Brake components are frequently exposed to water, road salt, dirt and heat, resulting in corroded and/or difficult to remove bolts. Restricted access to some bolts can also make it difficult to place tools correctly in order to avoid rounding of heads during removal. To assist in keeping your components safe and secure, Apec offer replacement bolts in sizes commonly found in most brake discs, calipers and drums.

Bolts are sold in pairs so please check the quantity required before purchasing.
