Eterna have been producing watches of supreme quality since 1856 and are much coveted by collectors looking for both quality and investment.

Perhaps the pinnacle of their historic innovations was the automatic watches from 1948 that had the rotor mounted on ball bearings; the 5 balls still form the Eterna logo.  This watch dates to some five year later in 1953 according to the movement serial number of 3654274 and gold hallmarks.

This is a gentleman's 9k solid gold wristwatch in a 30 mm (excluding lugs and crown) cushion or 'sports shaped' case.  The case condition is very good (tiny dink near the 2-hour) and the maker was Dennsions, the famous English case maker that made for the likes of Rolex in this era.  The case back shows references of 12400 and 561742 on its inner alongside the Birmingham hallmarks for 9k gold and 1953.

The silvered dial has a pleasing patina of age and most importantly it is in totally original condition.  The hours are a mix of markers and Arabic form hours with a single sunk subsidiary seconds dial at the base.  All hands are in gold and  'Eterna' reads in black.

The movement is again signed 'Eterna' and as aforementioned carries the serial number of 3654274 dating the watch to 1953.  It functions perfectly keeping excellent time having been serviced last in 2015.

The watch comes on a new, brown leather strap with gold coloured buckle to match the case.

Willing to post this collectable watch worldwide and please do view my other watches now for sale here on ebay.
