  This kit comes with the NOS Thomas A Yorke Hydrocal castings including a very nicely detailed one-piece roof section and separate platform and steps. Instructions to Weather this Product - Seriously, this is NOT rocket science-it’s just weathering! We applied two coats of Doctor Ben’s Instant Age Weathering Solution (#1152) diluted 50/50 with Isopropyl Alcohol (70%) allowing the IA to dry between coats & then applied diluted Doctor Ben’s Realistic Rust Weathering Solution (#1150) down the steel plates imbedded in the ramp.

  Scale Model Masterpieces Detail Parts are composed of UNFINISHED /UNASSEMBLED Natural Resin, Labstone, or Color-Cast Resin parts-Assembly & Finish Required.  Assembly using Doctor Ben's Hypo-Cement for  tiny delicate parts as well as most plastic cements  and painting may be completed by hand or an air  brush. "Pool Hall & Bordello" Craftsman Kit by Thomas A. Yorke Enterprises *is now* Scale Model Masterpieces HO/HOn3/HOn2/HOn30

The Scale Model Masterpieces Pool Hall/Bordello HO/HOn3 kit is finally here, and it is simply AMAZING! FYI It did take us around three years to get around to it. The design of this fantastic Craftsman kit much more like the 'original' 1979 version Thomas A Yorke Ent. did a number of years ago, But that's almost where it ends. We have used Tom Yorke 'original' hand-carved masters and created totally new castings to replace all that wood and time-consuming construction of the 2nd Floor Bordello, multi-pitched roofs, and both front facades. And ,instead of just 10 or so castings, there are now 27 LabStone high-quality castings, Precision Cut Roofs, Glazing and Signs (the Baba O'Rileys Pool Hall sign is like not other!), 4-Color Laser Signs and window glazing, meticulous instructions and Options, more information in listing.

  This kit has been created in LabStone Gypsum to show off the beautifully detailed Thomas A York casting of stone, wood, and brick first offered in 1980. The staining and weathering instructions have been updated to currently available products including easy to learn techniques in "The ABC's of Staining Castings" booklet (above right & NOT included in this listing).

  This kit includes drawings, scale lumber for the stairway construction, roofing material, light, stove pipe, and detailed construction and everything seen in the photo except for the scenery and the figure.

As we mention in our October 2015 Newsletter & here in our website Blog, changes for the HO & O scale Rubbles kits are here. The rusty brown corrugated metal roof is on, the tower is glued in place and the windows & door are in-WHEW! We have posted progress images of some of the changes, primarily the transition back to a rusty steel corrugated and a price reduction!

So, all that said, we are offering a bunch of of "Options' for you to choose to add such as the Doctor Ben's Solutions and/or Stains listed and used in the Instructions for building this kit. Also offered are some optional roofing types for those would would like something other than the corrugated metal. Neat, HUH?

 This impressive structure was based on one still standing in San Bernardino, California. The original cast concrete structure was built around 1920, but it has seen some changes over the years and our rendition incorporates these. Our patterns reflected the uneven and rough wooden form board impressions as well as "oozing" concrete from between them so typical of cast concrete structures.
