SN 235187 which should make it a 1967 Rex-5
Kern Vario-Switar 1:2.5 f=18-86mm zoom lens
KOWA (Japanese TV) 10mm wide angle lens
Has a custom built time lapse motor (camera system was purchased from a professional stop motion filmmaker in the late 90's), but hasn't been used in 20 years, so no idea if it still works

Camera itself has been sitting for 20 years since last use, but did work fine.
Have two rolls of sealed/unused Kodak color negative film (7245 and 7248).  It's expired, but sealed and stored in a cooler for 20 years.  Processing was prepaid, but film processor went out of business.

Non-smoking home. Sold as is.

Thanks for looking

I connected the crank and wound up the motor and ran it at 24fps.  Sounded like the normal Bolex hum to me (no grinding or clanking).   I got between 27 and 28 seconds of runtime. I seem to remember that to be about normal for a Bolex.  I’ve owned it for 20 years and only passed about 400 feet of film through it using the spring just to test the camera initially (I used it with the time lapse motor).  I’ve always stored it with the spring unwound and in a climate controlled room. The previous owner used it for stop motion/time lapse with a custom motor, so the spring wasn’t used much then either (I believe he had the camera for 10 years).  So the spring hasn’t seen much use for the past 30 years.  I can’t tell you how it was used for the first 20 years.  I honestly believe the camera and lenses are in good shape, but you would have to do a camera test or two to verify.  The zoom lens does have some scratches on the body from use but the glass looks good and clear to me.

I have to sell it “as is” since it is a 50 year old movie camera.  I can’t guarantee its reliability since I haven’t used it in almost 20 years.  If you intend to use it for production work, I’d recommend budgeting to have it serviced if needed.

Today, I pulled off the camera tape covering the port for the 400ft magazine.  It had been taped off since I bought it.  I didn't think about it since it was normal practice to tape any potential light leak off back when I worked in film.  So I didn't think to do that until someone asked a question about it.  Unfortunately I discovered that the plastic cover plate had been previously broken and glued together on one side where it is clamped down.  I never had a problem with light leaks with the tape on, but wanted to disclose the issue with the cover plate as soon as I discovered it.  I have posted additional photos showing the plate.
