Item is in very good condition. It is very clean - amazing for it's age. EXCELLENT sticker placement and sticker conditions!  The seat fits into the main body assembly well and often broken handle is intact as well as the backpeg.

The sticker placement is still good and vibrant. The canopy still has both pegs, fits tight and will stay in position, the left and right panels fit tight as well as the tail fin. The front chin cannons fit snug and rotate left and right fine, the more modern dark black landing skids can still be removed and reattached if you wish, they fit snug and still hold the 2 original missiles with intact fins and have the footpegs still intact.

The twin VTOL engine assembly still fits well but is loose in the housing, I will leave it to you to wrap a piece of clear tape or a dab of clear nail polish to the engine assy if you really need to pose them for display.

The Sky Hawk is a VTOL aircraft that was first used by G.I. Joe  in their war against Cobra in 1984. It is protected with its titanium alloy skin. Its primary weapon is its Twin 20mm Thunderclap Cannons. It is also armed with two Fuselage Mounted Vulcan 20mm Cannons located on both sides of the cockpit. In addition it carries Signal-Processing Air-To-Surface Rockets.

The G.I. Joe Skyhawk is an inexpensive, low-maintenance, and small VTOL craft.  An easy replacement for larger, more high-ticket aircraft, the Skyhawk is an amazing piece of aerodynamic engineering.  Bearing more than a passing resemblance to an insect, the Skyhawk can be quite a plague for enemy forces.  While unable to engage most other aircraft due to its low speed and light armor, the Skyhawk is a buzzing nightmare for ground troops, who are hard-pressed to find the highly-maneuverable craft in their targeting reticule before it's too late.

The Sky Hawk is a very small, lightweight vertical take-off and landing aircraft that the G.I. Joe team has made good use of in the past when ordinary air support is impractical. These utilitarian, grass-green mini-jets pack quite a punch, and are equipped with the following vehicular capabilities:

Flight: the primary feature of the Sky Hawk, the vehicle can achieve flight by means of two powerful, twin SK-34 Series 1 high bypass turbofan engines, mounted immediately behind the cockpit of this small craft. These engines allow the Sky Hawk to fly at 510 miles per hour.

Levitation: the secondary feature of the Sky Hawk is its ability to take off and land vertically, thanks to its ability to pivot its SK-34 engines in a vertical orientation. This allows it to levitate; not all that effective, but definitely enough to suspend it over an area for quite some time.

S.P.A.T.S. Rockets: mounted under the Sky Hawk's cockpit are these two signal processing air to surface (S.P.A.T.S.) rockets. These missiles track their targets with a radar lock once the Sky Hawk's pilot can achieve one.

Titanium-Alloy Fuselage Skin: the Sky Hawk is built with 'light' in mind, and it only weighs in at 7,300 lbs. Nonetheless, the thing is built from a titanium alloy fuselage, which makes it highly resistant to small-arms fire (great for air support of ground troops), and provides the Hawk's Body and Protection.

Twin 20mm 'Thunderclap' Cannons: mounted on a chin turret immediately beneath the Sky Hawk's pilot, this set of two 20mm cannons can inflict serious damage in combat.

Vulcan 20mm Rotary Cannons: these secondary, rotary cannons are mounted in recessed cavities on both sides of the Sky Hawk. They can only point at whatever is directly in front of the Sky Hawk, but their high rate of fire allows them to inflict Armor Piercing damage.

Payload grew up watching the early space shots blasting off through the Florida sky. He often stared through a hole in the space center's security fence and rode the flaming booster rockets in his dreams. Payload worked hard on making those dreams a reality by joining the Air Force on his 18th birthday. He flew F-4 Phantoms over Southeast Asia paying his dues and becoming an expert pilot. When he returned stateside he signed up for the astronaut training program. Now he's a member of G. I. Joe's elite Star Brigade team, fighting to protect Earth and other planets in the deepest voids of space.
Motto: "Space is the place to smash Destro in the face!"

Mark grew up in Cape Canaveral, where he got to see every single rocket the government flung into space. Watching each launch wide-eyed through the hurricane fences, Mark imagined himself riding rough shod on each space shot, and determined that he was going to space some day.

While some have said that Mark has his heads in the clouds, he's actually focusing on a point beyond them; he's not absent-minded so much as focused like a laser on his ultimate goal. Unlike most folks who claim to want to be an astronaut, you see, Mark actually worked towards that end. Joining the Air Force as a general matter of course, he flew three tours over southeast Asia to 'pay his dues', immediately signing up for the astronaut program upon his return to the States. You can only imagine his elation when he was accepted into the thing.

Of course, Mark didn't wind up flying the Space Shuttle like he'd expected; oh no. As it turned out, a military program with a nigh-unlimited budget gave Mark an offer he simply couldn't refuse; they wanted him to fly a top secret, military-minded space craft instead. Reveling in the chance to not only fly to space often - much less in a craft that hardly anyone knew about - Mark couldn't sign up fast enough. This program was the GI Joe team of course, and Mark would be flying aggressive missions in space against Cobra craft.

An experienced fighter pilot already, this didn't seem like too bad a deal, and the instant he and his team were ready, Mark was indeed shuttled off into space, his first mission a rescue of a normal Shuttle that Cobra was attacking - to destroy it's advanced satellite payload. This mission a success, Mark proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Defiant space craft - and the later Crusader - were effective and necessary tools in the fight against international terrorism the likes of which Cobra was inflicting all around the world... and beyond.

In fact, when the Joes built a more formal unit, the Star Brigade, Mark was one of the first fellows to be pulled onto that unit. Naturally, he was more than happy to go into space with his teammates, using all of his experience in life to date in the protection of freedom. After the Joes disbanded (for the first time) in 1994, Mark presumably cycled back into the standard astronaut pool at N.A.S.A., what with his extensive experience in orbit. However, should the Joes need him to fly one of their own space craft again, he'd likely jump at the chance.
