Description

A very fine set of ribbed Chinese porcelain dishes from the Kangxi period c1700.
One painted to the centre with a composition flowering plants from behind an openwork rock.
The other plate with a stylized composition of a lotus flower and scrolls.
Nice dynamic style brushwork in beautiful washes of underglaze cobalt blue.
 A great addition to for your early Qing dynasty collection!

Some typical age wear:
Both dishes (Ø21 & 22cm) with some fritting/small glaze chips on the rim
which is very common for this type of Kangxi export porcelain.
Both dishes with one straight hairline on the rim.
One dish (with flowers and scholar rock) a straight hairline on the central part.
Otherwise excellent condition!
