Up for auction is a vintage original Belknap Hardware Blue Grass Axe Hatchet with a nail puller. It could easily be a Boy Scout tool. It has the original red and gold paint. It has the original decal on the head and handle. It has a clear stamp on the back. This is a Belknap Hardware and Manufacturing Company piece. This makes it earlier than Belknap, Inc. pieces, likely from the 1960s.

The head is solid and fully intact with the curved handle. The handle has one scuff on the end. The paint and stickers on the head and handle show some wear. A prior owner etched initials on the handle. The blade is 3 1/4" in length and does not have any significant chips. Of course, it could use some light sharpening. The head measures 5 1/4" in length, and the handle is 11 1/2" in length. Total length is 14".
