This is a wood bowl or perhaps some form of good luck cash basket. Expert craftsmanship. The mother of pearl inlay is smooth as silk. The lip of the bowl has wicker/rattan woven thru the wood. The Mother of Pearl is inlaid in designs around a coin/charm that is at center of bowl and also at four points outside of bowl. Great decorative piece.
