This is an Italian heirloom variety growing vines reaching 4-6 metres in length. Grown with an overhead support they can be pruned into a tree like structure. The variety is high yeilding and produces large pinkish red fruits up to 700g in size. The plant has a really high yeild and will produce over a really long period of time so is great for climates with a mild winter or for hydroponics and glasshouses as well as out in the average garden. Note it is a variety of tomato, not technically a tree.
Sow in Spring for most regions, for hot humid climates, avoid growing in Summer. Sow 5mm at 22 degrees C, seedlings emerge 10-14 days, space 50cm apart.. Harvest approx. 12 wks after sowing
