What are two way radios?
A two way radio is a radio which can both transmit and receive audio (voice). Two way radios are available as handheld radios, stationary radios which can sit on a desk top, and radios which can be fitted to vehicles such as those used by taxi companies. Handheld radios are commonly referred to as ‘walkie-talkies’.
All these radios will have a button known as a PTT (Press to Transmit). Pressing this button allows the user to transmit.
What is the range on the walkie talkies?
A. The range varies depending on your operating environment (city vs rural). Generally we tell people 5-7 city blocks or about a quarter mile outside the city. If you’re shooting on multiple floors of the same building you should have no problems.
What is the typical battery life?
Depending on usage, the typical battery life is 8 – 12 hours from fully charged.
Do we need to charge batteries after we pick up an order (or delivery)?
A. No, all batteries are fully charged before they leave our office, no need for you to charge any batteries prior to first use.
