An original, antique, copper-plate engraved map of Broad Street Ward and Cornhill Ward in London. It was engraved by Benjamin Cole for William Maitland's "History of London", published in London in 1756.

This large map is surrounded by engravings of the Parish Churches of  St Christopher, St Bartholomew and St Bennet Finch. There are several elevations of notable buildings within the map. The map is uncoloured as published and printed on hand-laid paper with the printed area measuring approximately 470mm x 350mm with margins beyond; blank verso.

Condition report: Excellent condition. Light age toning. One or two faint, unobtrusive age spots. There are two vertical folds as issued. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
