WWII-era Royal Crown Derby BLUE MIKADO Pattern (w/ People) 1800 Pin Tray

Lovely 3 5/8" long 1800 pin tray in the Blue Mikado (with People) pattern by Royal Crown Derby. This one has very pronounced indents at the corners, clearly intended for use as an ashtray. Below the RCD logo, it has the Roman numeral three (III) which indicates this was produced in 1940. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage and shows little to no signs of gilt wear.
