Superb condition Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 531/2 folding camera in working order. Dating from immediate post war period this is one of the last models made of this classic German folder. 

Spotlessly clean inside with all functions operating correctly. The folding mechanism works well and the front standard locks into position properly. The rangefinder control is smooth and accurate, the yellow patch aligns well but it and the supplementary viewfinder are a bit dim due to 70 years age. The bellows are in good condition and by inspection appear to be light tight but I have not used this camera with film for many years.

The 105mm F3.5 Opton Tessar lens is coated. The glass is clean and clear and there are no scratches, hazing or fungus. The Compur Rapid shutter is working but the slowest speeds and B setting are unreliable. There is a flash contact fitted but I have never used this function. The leather case is in reasonably good condition too.

This is a very fine example of German precision camera engineering and is ideal for a collector's display. Alternately it could be used by a vintage film enthusiast. It would be hard to find a better example of this legendary camera outside of a museum.
