This is the FASTEST 180mm lens Leica has ever made! It was made in very limited number. The Leica 180mm Apo-Summicron-R F2 R ROM lens has a superior anodized aluminum body with desirable APO glass producing flawless image quality all the way to the edges of the frame. A very desirable lens with top of the line image quality produced in limited quantities, especially in the ROM version!
This lens was purchase new condition in the late 1990's. This was a special order from Leica factory in Germany so that this lens was specially tested before delivery. I have never used this lens outdoor before. Simply for my collection. Unfortunatedly, cases and others were not available because they were lost occasionally.

focusing makes the overall length of the lens remain constant during focusing,
and it always feels well balanced in your hand. The optical system includes a
protective filter for the front element and a series 6 filter for the filter
drawer. It has a rotating and locking mount for tripod attachment.
