I am selling my 2010 BMW R1200RT with 52,705 miles. I purchased this bike in August of 2015 from an insurance sale in Lincoln, Illinois with 40,634 miles. I have put about 12,000 trouble free miles on it since then. The only items I had to put on the bike were the 2 front turn/marker lens and have the saddle bags repainted. Looks like the previous owner tried to lane split and didn't succeed. Skinned up both sides at once. Absolutely no mechanical or handling problems after a complete check over and tune up.

I have one close up picture of a scuff that remains by both the left and right front lens. Not bad but still there. I did a fairly complete service at 51,650 miles with new oil and filter, changed trans fluid, changed final drive fluid, greased the drive shaft splines, and installed a pair of Bridgestone Batlax HD tires. Don't have the scanner to reset the service due light so it is still on. The only mechanical glitch is that the fuel gage stays on full but I run on the trip meter for fill up distance. Has never been a problem as it will go almost 300 miles between gas stops but I'm not good for that distance anymore. I am selling the bike due to age-my wife is almost 70 and can no longer get on and off this bike so I have gone to a 2014 CTX1300 Honda. I tell her it makes her look 10 years younger the way she can now handles mounting and dismount.

The bike has probably the best seat available for long distance riding, a Russell All Day heated model. 2 years ago I left the St. Louis area on Monday at 9:30 AM and was back in Ruidoso, N.M.(1200 miles) at 7:00 AM Tuesday morning having breakfast at McDonalds. That bike and seat combo is truly a highway star. Sporty too with quick release trunk and bags it is a really capable canyon carver. Also the bike has aftermarket front pegs which really help unkink the legs on long rides. The bike has factory ESA, heated seat and grips, factory installed sound system. Over $20,000 new. Still books for $8450.

I can deliver the bike to the El Paso airport if you want to buy ,fly, and ride. Storing the bike while waiting for your shipper of choice will be no problem either. Please check our Ebay rating at 100%. My auction is a NO RESERVE AUCTION with a low start price. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
