History: This watch comes from the widow of a U.S. diplomat who served in China for a number of years. This is one of several watches he purchased in China and brought back to the U.S.A.
Mechanical condition: The watch winds, sets, and ticks. I have noticed that the watch sometimes stalls when placed face up, so I recommend a professional cleaning for best performance. Therefore, I am selling the watch for restoration. The dial appears to be a later replacement? The dial is composed of some kind of metal backed paper sealed around the rim of the movement. Everything else appears to be original to the watch.
