What is L-Carnitine?
L-Carnitine is a compound produced by the body from lysine and
methionine. L-Carnitine is a chemical
that is made in the human brain, liver, and kidneys and It helps the body turn
fat into energy. L-Carnitine has a
characteristic fishy odour but is odourless once combined with water and the water
solution has a sour taste. The
crystalline powder is also very hygroscopic and if left out of it’s packing, it
can start to melt and turn into liquid.
L-Carnitine, the biologically active form of Carnitine, is a
carrier molecule that transports activated long-chain fatty acids from the
cytosol to mitochondria where fatty acids are oxidized, resulting in ATP
production. L-Carnitine is not to be
confused with Acetyl L-Carnitine or L-Carnitine L-Tartrate.

How is this product
packaged?
This product is supplied in resealable stand up
pouches. Therefore, if you select a
quantity of 5kg, you will receive either 5 bags of 1kg each or 2 bags of 2kg
and 1 bag of 1kg. Orders of 10kg or more
will be packed in a food grade plastic bag and fastened with a zip tie.
