A Recess Measurement is the exact wall to wall measurement at the smallest point with no deductions. We will make a small reduction to the width to ensure that the blind fits within this space. The fabric will be approximately 4cm smaller than the recess size.

Recess Size
When fitting a blind into a recess, measure wall to wall inside of it, at the top, middle and bottom, and let us know the smallest measurement. From this, we make a 0.5cm reduction to the overall width of the blind to ensure it fits within the space, and you will have a 2cm gap between to the wall and the fabric. Measure the drop from the ceiling to the sill.

Exact Blind Size
When fitting a blind outside of the recess, measure the space you would like the blind to cover. We recommend an overlap of 10cm to the width and drop of the opening. The exact blind size is the entire blind including the brackets. The fabric width will be 3.5cm narrower than this. Alternatively, let us know the fabric width you would like, and we can work to this size for your blind.

To fit within a recess
- Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom, and provide us with the smallest size.
- Measure the drop at the left, middle and right, and provide us with the smallest size.
- Advise us when ordering that this is a recess measurement.
We will then make the blind to fit within this space, reducing the overall width of the entire blind including brackets by 0.5cm. Because the brackets and mechanism are 3.5cm wide, there will be approximately a 2cm gap between the wall of your recess and the fabric on each side.
To fit outside of a recess
- Measure the space which you would like the blind to cover. We usually recomend adding 10cm onto size of your opening to the overall width of the blind, to minimise light leakage.
- Provide us with width and drop which you would like, and advise that this is an exact blind size.
- Please note, because the brackets and mechanism take up 3.5cm, the fabric width will be this much narrower than the exact blind size.
- You can alternatively provide with a fabric size, and we will make the material on your blind to these dimensions, with the brackets and mechanism sitting outside of this space.
Please note, these blinds are suitable for top or face fixing, and are not suitable for side fixing.

We do have a few sensible exclusions and conditions which are:
- Accidental damage
- Any and all damage other than wear and tear
- Alterations made to the products
- Misuse or mistreatment of the product
- Any environmental effects (excessive heat, water/moisture damage, mould)
- Normal fading of fabrics and dyes
- Failure to follow measurement or installation instructions
- Failure to follow maintenance guidelines
- Fitting the product in a non domestic environment
