AURORA Kit No.280-80, 1/64 scale, PIPER APACHE, Comet Tooling, Vintage 1964

Aurora Plastics Corp. Canada, kit made in RexDale Ontario,  printing by Aurora, Canada,  Decal set from Craft Originators, Hamilton,Canada.  One of many Comet kits re-boxed in the early 60's and molds used in Canada, this is the PIPER APACHE released in 1964. Indications are, as defined by the instructions, that this kit was on the shelves later than 1964 due to the price of $1.30 on the decal sheet vs the 0.80 cent price on the kit number. This Piper kit release still retains the original parts tooling the Comet company but with the box art changed to to the more famous collectors quality of the business aircraft in a climbout over the Snake river at 8,000 ft.
