St Bernard of Clairveaux

Single Decade Rosary

This handsome pocket rosary has eleven 8mm beads in a combination of faceted, fire-polished Czech glass and semi-precious gemstones.

The single Our Father bead is a genuine Blue Adventurine.  The ten Hail Mary beads are alternating Autumn Jasper, which is a gemstone mottled and speckled with all the colors of the fall; and Czech glass in a clear olivine green color.

The 7/8" medal has an updated image of St Bernard of Clairveaux holding a shepherd's staff and a small model of what is probably the Monastery of Clairveaux. "Pray for Us" and "Italy" on the back. The 1-1/2" silver-toned Pope St John Paul II crucifix adds another great Catholic saint to this chaplet.

Chaplet is about 9-1/2" long and comes with the following:

  • How to Pray the Rosary pamphlet
  • The 15 Promises of Mary card
  • How to Pray the Divine Mercy
  • St Bernard prayer card
  • St John Paul II prayer card
  • Carry Pouch
  • Gift bag and tissue paper to hold all of the above!

St Bernard of Clairveaux lived from 1090-1153 in France.  Founding the Monastery at Clairveaux, he was a learned man, doctor of the church, wonderful Catholic apologist who fought against heresies and helped to spread devotion to Our Lady in his many writings and prayers.  He is the patron of bees, beekeepers and candlemakers.
