Gallery photos taken were meant to show how the light hits the steelcase surface and highlight as many of the imperfections from general handling/storage as possible. 

This item has never been used. There is slight microscopic dust wear on the surface of the Steelcase from general handling/storage. These markings really can only be seen at certain angles depending on where the light hits it. If viewed straight on, the majority of these markings are barely visible and mostly disappear. Please look at the gallery listing as I have also highlighted in up close picture form where there are small blemishes in the finish on the spine and bottom rear of the case. 

Depending on how you close the case, there are times it's possible for it to catch. Which is why Steelbook (the company) moved to a different hingeless binding design for future iterations of their Steelbook DVD/Game/Bluray cases.
