"Baker of London"
Brass
 Microscope
with Case.

This brass microscope by "Baker of London" with its' mahagony case and accessories  are in "as found" condition and have not been restored or repaired.

There are no cracks or chips to the brass that I can find and the microscope has retained much of its' original lacquering, however, there are  some patches of tarnishing, as well as the usual scuffs, marks and scratches that you expect from a well used item of this age.

The drawtube mechanism moves up and down smoothly and the fine focussing thumbwheel works  well.  
The bas is marked "Baker, 244, High Holborn, London"
The mahogany case has three spare objectives. 
The microscope measures approximately, 40 cm (16 inches) tall.
