ACKERMANSION MEMORIES #2 edited by James Van Hise (March 2016) 8 1/2 x 11, 70 pages. Fanzine format. Side-stapled. Brand new. Just published. Now available.

Forrest J Ackerman was one of the earliest contributors to Science Fiction fandom and remained active throughout his life. While most people are familier with his work in Famous Monsters and Spacemen, much of his other work appeared in fanzines and magazines now long out of print.

Material in this issue by (and sometimes about) Forrest J Ackerman includes:

1) "Myrtle Rebecca Douglas: An Appreciation" by Forrest Ackerman.

2) Tributes to FJA by Robert Bloch, Ray Bradbury, Philip Jose Farmer, A.E. van Vogt, and Donald Wollheim.

3) Logo from a vintage 1960s SPACEMEN magazine subscription envelope.

4) Manuscript of a tribute to Frank R. Paul which Forry intended for FM but it was rejected by James Warren.

5) 4 page article on FJA from the 1961 fanzine ESCAPE #1.

6) SCIENTIFILM SEARCHLIGHT by FJA from OTHER WORLDS SCIENCE STORIES March 1957.

Plus other articles on Forry Ackerman and a feature about the collapse of FAMOUS MONSTERS in 1983, and some illustration sci-fi features from THRILLING WONDER STORIES in 1939, and more.

The back cover (below) is from a foreign magazine.
