1985 G.I. JOE CHECKPOINT ALPHA

resolution, to make your own decision on the grade of the item - good
luck finding another sale where this much detail is disclosed!
Checkpoint Alpha is a prefab, two story tower the G.I. Joe team can readily erect in the field in order to control entrance and exit to a given, secured area. It is of Remarkable material strength, and in addition to the tower proper, it comes with a tungsten spanned-beam spotlight, an electric release gate, an infra-red camera, a radio and a gun.
This cannon, an I-15 sub-machine gun, can be fired in three ways. A single shot will inflict Typical shooting damage (and serve as a good 'warning shot' in a pinch), a short, controlled burst will inflict Good Shooting damage and down most standard foes, and a full-auto bracket of lead will inflict Excellent Shooting damage, and easily damage most personnel and vehicles.

He's
the son of the original G.I. Joe Commanding General (after whom
the U.S.S. Flagg aircraft carrier was named). GENERAL FLAGG is a
graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, as were five preceding
generations of Flaggs. Carrying on where his father left off, General
Flagg likes to be in the thick of it, meaning he needs a personal
weapon as devastating as the G.I. Joe Brawler.
Motto: "Don't
just take the high ground, take it all!"
Budo's father was an orthodontist in Oakland, his grandfather was a farmer in Fresno, his great-grandfather was a track-worker on the Rocky Mountain Line, and his great-great-grandfather was a fencing master in one of the last great samurai warrior families of Japan. On his eighteenth birthday he was given the family swords and a haiku written by his ancestor: 'The great sword unsheathed / Glitters brightly in the dark / Unseen and at rest.'
Lanard Toys was founded in 1978 and based in Hong-Kong, although they have design centers in Europe and the U.S.A. Even if they were founded in 1978, almost nothing is known of this company before 1986, the year in which they started their production of “the Corps!” line. This line was previously known as “Gung-Ho!”, but due to a lawsuit from Hasbro in 1988, “Gung-Ho!” became “the Corps!”.
During many years, “the Corps!” was the only toy line available in their catalog. This line was very profitable, even after the disappearance of Hasbro’s G.I. Joe in 1994, because Lanard developed itself to a big toy company, multiplying the number of toy lines while improving the quality of their products.
There is unfortunately not much more information on the web about the company. If you try searching information about them, you’ll come to two very polemic affairs. First is the trademark infringement claim from GM in 2006, and the second is the violation of a Hasbro patent in 2010.
