Description This listing is for (1) brand new standard size OEM Kawasaki "ART" cast piston kit for the 1978-1985 KX250 dirt bike. These are discontinued from the factory. Made in Japan. Brand new but missing original packaging. Each kit includes a piston, ring set, wrist pin and circlip set. Wrist pin bearings are available for an additional cost. A great deal on a high quality OEM piston kit compared to Wiseco piston kits retailing at $165.00. Another benefit: these pistons are cast so they are a lot lighter than even the older wiseco machined pistons when pro lite actually meant something. The newer wisecos are even heavier. Lighter pistons equal quicker revs and more horsepower. We build high performance motors here at Off-Road Innovation and swear by cast OEM style pistons for performance and engine life. This piston comes with the exhaust bridge lubricaiton holes pre-drilled unlike all the wiseco pistons. Meaning they are ready to bolt on. Please read! Some of the original pistons from Kawasaki for these years used a L shaped upper piston/ring which is why the part # changes and Wiseco's part # is the same for the earlyKX250's After trying out this L style piston ring Kawasaki went right back to this standard design in 1986. This is the "normal" style piston/ring NOT the L shaped piston/ring version. This kit will work perfectly fine and we are explaining this in case you notice your original piston and ring design looks different. IF you have an 86 cylinder, please see our listing specifically for 1986 KX250 beacuse there are no exhaust bridge lubrication holes on that year.
