These new old stock JAN CHS 7A8 radio converter (frequency changer) tubes/valves are tested as new on our B&K 707 valve tester.

Hallicrafters used the 7A8 converter tube in the S-51 Sea-Farer receiver. Philco used the 7A8 converter tube in hundreds of models from the late 1930's to mid 1950's as did many other manufacturers.

The 7A8 is listed as an good substitute (1970 Tube Substitution Guidebook by H. A. Middleton) for the 7B8, 7J7 and 7S7 tubes.
