This top quality trim has been designed as a replacement for many early Japanese seats, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki. It is made from high grade materials which will not crack or go opaque when exposed to the weather unlike some cheaper similar products.
It is constructed of flexible plastic with a metalic inlay. The trim is attached by the included nuts and bolts (15 off) which slide on the inside of the trim allowing exact positioning of the fixings. The finish is not as shiny as chrome, it is more like a brushed aluminium finish.
It is supplied in 1840mm lengths. Width is 9mm, height is 4.5mm
It is possible to put lateral bends up to 45 degrees in this trim by using the following method: Boil a kettle, make a cup of tea (or coffee), with the remaining hot water, carefully trickle over the point that needs bending over the sink, quickly put onto a flat surface flat side down and whilst pressing firmly downwards on the bend, bend to the required angle and hold for 30 seconds to cool. When released the trim will stay that shape (see photo). Then drink your tea or coffee and admire your handy work.
