Materials: Dense wood, upholstery nails, metal, loincloth.
Presumed age: 1970s to 1980s.

Bété portage mask, with a zoomorphic face. The piece is decorated with upholstery nails. Strips of loincloth, used to attach the mask to the dancer's head, are still present.

Very spectacular piece, carved from a single piece of wood. Uncommon volumes.
