Power Converter for vintage Microphones with Tonaderspeisung / T-Power
NEW, Hand built to order - Based on the current orders to complete, please allow 10-15 business days until shipping [Of course, I will try to complete and ship asap]
Professional High Quality 48V Phantom
Power to 12V T-Power Converter for the operation of vintage Microphones with
12V Tonaderspeisung (T-Power). The converter works perfectly for the
T-Powered Sennheiser MKH Series, Neumann & Schoeps mics - The Rockmann Converter
offers a way better overall quality than the common barrel style converter
USAGE
The T-Power Converter is placed between Microphone and Mixer/MicPreAmp and
enables vintage microphones with 12V T-Power/Tonaderspeisung -like many older
models from the Sennheiser MKH-Series- to operate with today's common 48V
Phantom Power sources as provided from almost any Audiomixer and MicPreAmp.
If the microphone has a Small/Klein Tuchel Connector an additional Klein
Tuchel to XLR Adapter Cable is needed for the connection between microphone and
the 'XLR-Socket from the T-Power Converter ('12V T-Power Out'' ). You can find
high quality 'Small Tuchel to XLR Adapter Cable' in my other auctions.
A printed wiring sheet comes with this T-Power Converter so you would have a
'how to solder guide' if you like to make your own adapter cable.
HOW IT'S MADE
The T-Power Converter is made from Audio Grade Components with (better than 1%)
equally matched values for both (+/-) audio lines , connected via silver plated
high grade copper wire. The Rockmann converter offers additional power
filtering and generates out of the standard 48V Phantom Power a clean filtered
& stabilized 12V T-Power/Tonaderspeisung supply voltage. Our Audio Grade
components won't fit into the common 'barrel style' adapters as seen elsewhere.
CONNECTION SOCKETS:
* The XLR Female Socket (Labeled: 12V Tonaderspeisung / T-Power Out) is
for the connection to the Microphone. Microphones with a Small/Klein Tuchel
Connector would need a 'Small Tuchel to XLR Adapter Cable*' for the connection
into the converters female XLR input. (*Please see my other listings).
-Microphones with a standard XLR male connector but being still Tonader-Powered
like some Sennheiser 406T and 416T do only need a standard XLR mic cable for
the connection to the converter.
* The XLR Male Socket on The T-Power Converter (Labeled: From Mic PreAmp
/ 48V Phantom Power In) is meant for the connection to the Input from Mixer/Mic
PreAmp via a standard XLR microphone cable.
The components are housed in a sturdy, polished Aluminium Diecast Enclosure
with a clear gloss top coating
Dimensions: Approx. L111 x W60 x H30mm
Weight: About 280Gr.
