This is a RARE 1968 vintage copy of The Brave and the Bold #79 which features the 1st team-up between Batman and Deadman, and 1st title crossover of Deadman (outside of Strange Adventures). It also marks the beginning of Neal Adams' run in this series, which won the 1968 Alley Award for Best Full-Length Story. Written by Bob Haney with art by Neal Adams. It's first print and the overall condition is rated Fine/Very Fine. The cover is sharp with off-white pages. It has minimal creases but no tears occurring along the cover edges. Staples are intact and fairly firm.
synopsis:
While solving the murder of small time crook Whitey Marsh, Batman learns that the killer was wearing a hook. Deadman, having come to Gotham to seek Batman's aid in finding his killer, believes the villain
responsible, who is the Hook, is in Gotham after overhearing the eye witness
account of Marsh's murder. Soon the two learn that the killer was not the man who
Deadman is looking for, but a thug working for Kubla Kaine, a wealthy
business man who is running for mayor and is secretly running a crime
syndicate out of Gotham City.
