FEATURED:  A very scarce and early RON LEE handpainted, signed and dated EMMETT KELLY, JR.  CLOWN coffee mug, showing the loveable and rarely smiling Clown King himself.   RON LEE is the premier artist today of Clown-themed art, and this is an early example of his work, before he rocketed into fame and a huge international business.  He has been fascinated by Emmett Kelly, Jr. for many years, and this charming unusual item is no exception. Kelly rarely is seen smiling, but on this mug we can see a mostly happy face, from his eyes to his mouth, turned up in a gentle smile instead of his usual sad frown.  A great gift for someone who loves clowns, hot coffee and tea, and who would enjoy looking at a happy face daily.d   Sure to put a smile on your face when you are having breakfast and reach for your mug of good coffee.

Measures:  3.5 inches tall, 3 inches in diameter.  Signed "Ron Lee", dated '93 on the lower back of the mug.  Handpainted by Ron Lee.  We cannot verify if this is dishwasher safe, and as it is an artistic piece, would not recommend it. Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear.
