This Is A Very Charming, Expertly Crafted & Beautifully Detailed Vintage Chinese Square Shaped Bamboo Veneered Lacquered Lidded Box Caddy. 

It Features A Delicate Floral Motif Of A Blossoming Rose Branch On Its Front, Which Has First Been Engraved & Then Hand Painted & There Is A Chinese Symbol In Black Colour On The Back. It Is Marked On Its Base, Reading “Made In China Hnd”. 

From Research I Believe That The Hnd On The Base Of This Box Has Been Placed There By A University Student Who Won A Hnd Award, A Very Prestigious Award In The Universities And Colleges Of China. 

This Lovely Box Comes In Good Overall Condition With A Few Slight Scuff Marks On The Lid, Both Corners On The Front Of The Box Are Slightly Gapping, But The Lid Sits Perfectly Tight, So Im Not Sure If That Was Intentionally Meant Like That Or, Wood Being A Living Thing, It Needs Slight Gluing.
