SUPERB MID 20TH CENTURY SCANDINAVIAN GLASS DECANTER
Presenting a wonderful vintage viking decanter, designed by Ole Winther in 1955 and produced by the quality Danish glass producers, Holmegaard.
This exquisite decanter has been crafted in a wonderfully retro smoked gun metal grey coloured glass.
This fabulous Holmegaard viking decanter is so named because of the impressed viking face which features within a lozenge of glass appearing on the body of the decanter.
This beautifully shaped decanter has a wonderfully sleek,clean-lined modernist form with a bell bottomed shaped base, tall slender neck, and a thick and chunky rim to the top, which is indented to form a pouring lip. The chunky rim glistens with a stunning metallic iridescence.
SIZE: This impressive Holmegaard decanter stands approx 230mms tall and approx 120mms in diameter at its widest.
CONDITION: This superb decanter is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.
