You'll be bidding on a 35mm original print of another CLASSIC FLAVO'S SHRIMP ROLL DRIVE-IN SNACK BAR AD (#2, circa late 1960s). Shrimp rolls were a main staple at many drive-in theaters back in the late '50s and early '60s, but by the time this ad came out they were starting to fade in popularity. This is our second Flavo's Shrimp Roll spot. We have had two other shrimp rolls spots for sale recently, an earlier Flavo's spot and a Golden Palace Shrimp rolls spot. This spot has a psychedelic feel to it, starting with a wave of bizarre colors, followed by an image of a little Chinese guy using a Flavo as a raft in a rushing river. Then he magically transforms into a parachutist, floating downward while holding a big Flavo's shrimp roll. The final shot shows a yummy looking Flavo in its paper wrapper as the words "FLAVO'S SHRIMP ROLL At The Snack Bar" appear next to it. While this is all happening, the announcer espouses the wonderful yummyness of it all: "Here come Flavos, the Oriental treat that's out of this world for taste-tempting goodness. Light and delicious; full of tender juicy shrimp meat. America's favorite shrimp roll. Try Flavo's; you'll say...they're shrimply delicious!" This is a very nostalgic spot and very rare, so don't miss this opportunity as this hard-to-find intermission piece. The print itself is a 35mm original theatrical film print. It runs 21 seconds. The color still looks pretty good--a low-fade print perhaps? The visuals look quite nice with excellent density and contrast. The on-screen images look very crisp. The audio is a hair noisy, but it's nice and loud and overall sounds fine. Regarding the print's physical condition, it's in decent shape with what I'd describe as standard theatrical wear. Hairlines are at acceptable levels, and although there are a few minor edge repairs, there are NO SPLICES. With a wet-gated film-to-video transfer you could probably really make this old spot shine and it would be great
