Offered for sale today from my personal collection is the vintage Toulouse Lautrec theatre program from 1896 featuring Oscar Wilde and Romin Coolus, both personal friends of Lautrec.  CONDITION OF THIS EXAMPLE IS GOOD. It has been professionally conservered on Japon paper and was given one bath to stalize and lighten the paper. This example has NO tape on it and has light discoloration on the folds. Some edge loss edge loss as pictured. Paper was brittle but has now been stabilized and it is ready for framing. This lithograph measures approximately 12 5/8 x19 1/4 inches. It is the third state (of 4), before the additional text upper left. Edition of only approximately 10 as stated in Delteil 195; Adhémar 186; Adriani 163 - edition of 9 as stated in Wittrock 146. I can confirm that there are now at least 14 in the edition, but whether 9 or 14 the edition is still rare. Look at pictures for condition issues. These were purchased as part of a larger group of rare French Fin de Siècle lithographs that were owned by one person for at least the past 50 years and possibly longer ( from the collection of a dealers’ Grandfather ). If you look at other known impressions from this state you will be able to see the same fold lines in those impressions as are present in these impressions which leads me to believe they were all together at one point and stored folded after printing. The same lithograph (third state of 4) sold in very good condition ( I am assuming “B” ) at Swann Galleries in 2016 for $6500.  An impression of the forth state of 4 was sold at Swann in 2006 for over $10,000 in A condition.
