Addressed to:
STRONG MFG CO.
Winsted, CT

Strong Manufacturing Co. started in East Hampton, CT in the 1850s as Markham and Strong, plating sub-contractors for the town's bell manufacturers. One bell producer, Bevin Brothers [of East Hampton] provided capital. Markham and Strong gradually added lines of coffin tacks, screws, handles and other trimmings which were cast or forged from 'white metal,' a variable amalgam including differing amounts of zinc, tin, nickel, lead, brass, or iron. In 1866 David Strong bought his partners' shares and moved the business to Winsted to concentrate on coffin trimmings. Strong built a new mill in 1873. An electrical equipment manufacturer now occupies the buildings.

This item came from a new collection I purchased of 19th & 20th
century covers & FLS's. Many of the covers will have faults typical of items that went through the mail during that time. Some will have less wear, and some will have more, so please, view my high quality scans carefully, and form your own opinion of condition.
Both sides are scanned so you can hopefully see any/all faults.
They should be readily apparent. Please look carefully for any edge wear, tears, missing pieces, corners dents etc. Thank You!

In general, they will be in fine condition. Additional information upon request. Just message me!
Thanks for looking, and thanks in advance for your bids or purchase!
