The exquisite set was made by Birks, Canadain 1920s. BIRKS is Canadian high end luxury items selling company (similar to American Tiffany).
Each glass features a beautiful shape and consists of a sterling silver holder, adorned with elegant floral motive and a clear glass insert, hand decorated with charming floral etching. The glass insert can be easily detached by unscrewing it from the holder.
The set of six champagne/wine glasses is as seen in the photos.
Each holder is marked “BIRKS STERLING” near the rim and “41/45” at the bottom.
Measurements: Each glass measures approx. 4.5" tall and 3" across the top. The detached glass inset alone is 2.75" tall including screw in part. Each sterling silver holder is 3.75" tall.
Condition: The set of six antique Art Deco sterling silver and clear etched glass champagne/wine glasses is in very good condition with minimal signs of age. The very ends of the glass, that get screwed into the holder parts look well polished, just one glass has a bit rough end, can be easily polished off if desired. We didn’t polish the silver.
