Close to 80% of the kits I have bought on Ebay were missing some parts and about 20% were parts nearly impossible to replace! Beware of the cliché sentences, Here are just a few from some recent kits for sale:

Elaborate, contradictory and repetitive:
I looked in the parts bag and it looks like everything is there, although I did not inventory everything. It's possible something may be missing (but it doesn't look like it)… WOW!!
TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE ALL THE OTHER PARTS ARE INCLUDED BUT IT IS POSSIBLE OTHER STUFF MAY BE AMISS…
I can't guarantee that all parts are included but I am quite positive that everything is included...
FOR THIS KIT, I have spent all the time needed to make the inventory of the parts. So it doesn't just appear to be complete. It IS complete.
I will include copy of a letter to kit builders written by an Heathkit engineer in the seventies. Also you may want to" take" the surveys Heath and Allied Knight-Kit sent to their new customers; you will find Mr Noles' letter and both surveys packed with your new kit. Heathkit whom pioneered the concept of electronic kits and their advice will help kit builders and collectors alike.
Included is a 13 page color guide featuring adequate instructions and drawings, written in grammatically correct English. It includes illustrated advices on how to solder similar to the ads below!
The alignment can be made made without a generator; a method very similar to the Heathkit GR1008 and 1009. Please see pictures.
(NOTE: However, our assembly instructions are not as thorough or as comprehensive as the Heath manuals; no other kit manufacturer has been able to match them)

We use several image hosting sites to embed FULL SIZE, detailed pictures in the body of the description so you can literally «touch» what you are buying. So, we do not accept returns of kits because they are typically returned altered, damaged or with missing parts.

1930's Retro type radios, 1960's portables and digital with surface mount technology kits will be avalaible as wellAs usual we will take as much time (months) as it is necessary to develop building and alignment instructions so these kits will be built by their owners.
With careful inventory of parts, we expect that these kits will not end up in attics or garages some 25 years from today!
