BEATTIE fresnel lens made for the Mamiya RB system! Beattie company began making higher quality & BRIGHTER fresnel lenses for Mamiya RB, RZ, and 645 PRO/PRO TL bodies around 1993. Since Beattie manufactured the fresnel lenses only, so Beattie just bought bulk of Mamiya RB focusing screens from the local distributor and swapped their own fresnel lenses onto the Mamiya brand focusing screen and re-packaged it in their own boxes. Towards the end of Beattie company, they usually just put a custom made sticker over the original Mamiya packaging with sticker that says "with BEATTIE LENS", or "BEATTIE"!
This listing is for a Beattie made rangefinder spot horizontal split fresnel lens (brand new in original bag) + a new Mamiya type D cross hair focusing screen (new in pouch with instruction, all in box). You can just swap the Beattie fresnel lens onto the Mamiya focusing screen like it was done at the Beattie company back then! And you'll have a brand new rangefinder spot focusing screen with the brighter Beattie fresnel lens that retailed at about $ 450 (without the additional type D Mamiya fresnel lens)! These Beattie screens or fresnel lens are non-existent nowadays after almost 30 years.
There's only 4 small screws that holds the fresnel lens & glass to the frame, 2 screws on each side securing a metal latch bar that holds the fresnel lens & glass (shown in pic 6). Just 4 screws to unscrew, so you can easily swap the fresnel lens by yourself, and keep the extra fresnel lens as an alternative or backup! This screen fits all 3 RB bodies (RB PRO-SD, PRO-S, RB).
[The glass & frame parts of all RB focusing screens are the same, except the type A4 checker glass which has grid lines), so if you decide to buy this item, you can just keep & use the new type D screen as it is, but swap the new Beattie fresnel lens onto any of your existing USED RB screens that you don't want anymore).
