Early American Coin Silver Teapot with Wood Handle with marked Wishart 1810

Presented is a fantastic Early American solid coin silver teapot with hallmarks for silver by Hugh Wishart known to have been working in New York, New York 1806-12. I have posted a picture of my research in the photos above. This great piece has a great urn shaped finial on a hinge lid with gadroon sides, a wood handle and fine detailed engraved design with a shield design on both sides and in one a great period mixed period monogram of EB and holds 8 ½ cups of your favorite beverage to the brim with no leaks. It is in beautiful condition with only a some pin-prick dings a slightly loose handle with a very well done old repair with a screw visible at the top back of the handle probably instigating the crack that is visible at the top of the handle, what appears to be solder evident on the interior ring of raised base and visible in the interior of pot I believe to be original in the making of this item with no leaks and some fine scratches from gentle use and care. It is an outstanding piece for the collector of antique early American Silver.
