Presenting a stunning art glass vase masterfully handcrafted at the Zwiesel Glass School / Bavarian Forest in 1984.
This sleekly curved globular shaped piece has an appealing clean-lined modernist form crafted in a striking transparent purple coloured glass. Two bands of four opaque white glass ribbons stylishly spiral around the form, perfectly following the sleek contour of the glass. The spiralling ribbons create stunning optical effects as they blend and overlay, creating a unique design from every viewing angle.
This piece has been masterfully handcrafted and beautifully finished with a concave polished pontil mark to the base.
SIZE: This impressive piece stands approx 123mms tall and measures 150mms in diameter.
WEIGHT: This substantial piece weighs 980 grams unpackaged.
CONDITION: This stunning art glass vase is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some light surface scratches to the base consistent with a piece of this vintage having been placed on a surface but mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been very well cared for as a display item and presents spectacularly.
MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the base with an engraved mark reading "84 ZOP 0.860".
