Large round plate platter tray
Porcelain
Hand-painted
12 1/4" diameter
White background; pink, purple, & yellow flowers scattered about; gold follows the edges of the plate and onto the raised pattern that skirts the serving surface; the artist then used gold paint to create a raised pattern of additional flourishes on the serving surface, sometimes using a series of graduated-size dots to enhance the intricacy of the design; the artist then added the date: May 4 '95
Bottom has the green H&Co L France marking that was used from 1888 to 1896
From the estate liquidation of a lovely 96-year-old woman who had a keen eye for collectible porcelain
