Excellent Vintage PROPERTY of MORRIS VENDER Gaming Token, Dayton Ohio


Description: Vintage Morris Vender Gaming token from Dayton Ohio. Tokens were widely used during the 1900's and earlier for use or trade in commerce, transportation, amusement, admission, discounting etc. They were usually made from metals such as Copper, Pewter, Nickel, Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Tin or White Metal. They were stamped with an image or letter or had the same cut into them -making it easy to identify for the use at hand.

This item is an amusement token from the city of Dayton Ohio and appears to be composed of Copper.

Measurements: 7/8 inches in diameter. 1.5mm thick.

Markings: on the obverse, there is a six pointed star within a circle. There is a hole in the center. Lettering: “PROPERTY OF MORRIS VENDER”. The reverse also has a six pointed star within a circle and Lettering: “ACCEPTED SUBJECT TO RESTRICTIONS”. Edges and sides are smooth.

Weight: about 4 grams.
