This is an original 1953 Los Angeles, California Sanborn atlas map with updates to 1957. It is double sided with Plats 40 and 41 and includes Los Angeles County Art Institute, Westlake Theatre, Wilshire Medical Building, Palms Wilshire Hotel and other historic buildings, parks and structures. 

Condition: EX 11X13 

Plat 40 covers from: S. Coranado to S. Park View and from W. 6th Street to W. 7th Street. 

Plat 41 covers from: Alvarado to S. Bonnie Brae and from W. 6th Street to W. 7th Street. 

Each color represents a different type of building.  Pink is Brick; Yellow is Wood and Brown is Stone.  Square box with an X = Garage, Stable or Shed.  See key for what all the symbols indicate.
