This is an original 1953 Los Angeles, California Sanborn atlas map with updates to 1957. It is double sided with Plats 58 and 59 and includes Roman Catholic Archdiocese, Cromwell Hotel, Andrews Hardware and Metal Co. and other historic buildings, parks and structures.

Plat 58 covers from: W. 7th Street to W. 9th Street and from Witmer to Golden Avenue. 


Plat 59 covers from: W. 7th Street to W. 9th Street and from Beacon to Green Avenue.  


Each color represents a different type of building.  Pink is Brick; Yellow is Wood and Brown is Stone.  Square box with an X = Garage, Stable or Shed.  See key for what all the symbols indicate.
