1976 Music Man Sabre ll guitar with case.

1976 Music Man Sabre electric guitar for sale here, with case. Made in USA. Hard enough to date these, but this seems to be from the first year of MM production, 1976-1977. This makes it one of the first-ever Music Man instruments. Obviously pre-Ernie Ball, this was designed by the great man himself, Leo Fender, who described it as "the best guitar he'd ever designed". This is of the instruments Leo Fender designed and made with his new company CLF Research in California for Musicman after the Fender company was sold to CBS.There's a "bright" switch, which makes it sound very Telecaster-ish. It has also been described as "the best Telecaster ever built" because of this feature. Very, very rare, this guitar has seen lots of use and is naturally relic'd. it's seen lots of use and has marks to prove, though it looks like it was loved by it's keeper all of it's life.
Featuring separate bass and treble controls for precise tone control. Treble boost and phase reverse switches. Active humbucker pickups. All in perfect working order. Everything on this guitar is original. Low-noise, powerful, and wide range of sounds from a Les Paul to a Telecaster. Great sustain from heavy cast bridge. Original Musicman (Schaller) machine heads in perfect working order. Made as a "Sabre 1" and "Sabre ll", the Sabre 1 featured a 12" radius fretboard and the Sabre ll had a 7.5" radius. Very versatile guitar with a comfortable neck, you can play all night on it.
