This 2 channel digtal tuning module has been on sale for over 12 years and has been proven to work reliably and effectively on older diesels with Bosch Ve-EDC & similar Japanese Zexel fuel injection. This system uses the first generation of Bosch 'drive by wire' electronic injection pumps - the VP37 and similar 5 cylinder versions.(not v6)

  1. Switchable hot start helper so its there if you need it now or in the future
  2. Adjustable hot start helper – if you need to use, you can adjust the extra fuel mount for 20seconds during cranking to aid starting when the injection pump is worn or one or more heater plugs are weak to aid cold starting.
  3. Selectable & adjustable off boost enrichment for weak injection pumps to improve low rpm performance and improve turbo spool up. 
  4. Socket for optional illuminated dash push button 'Sport Switch.' which gives an extra performance boost when needed eg for overtaking, towing or setting off up a steep hill. NOW ADJUSTABLE.

  • HOT START HELPER. The hot start helper gives extra fuel for the first 20seconds of cranking. Settings 6 & 7 enable this feature and the amount of extra fuel is now adjustable to allow for variations in pump wear.
  • OFF BOOST ENRICHMENT: Three of the 8 settings (3,4,5) now provide adjustable off boost enrichment. This increases the output of worn injection pumps to improve performance when setting off and also means the turbo cuts in lower down the rev range. You can adjust the extra fuelling using the HSF control.
  • SOCKET for the optional dash switch is now built-in which gives you the option of even more power for overtaking etc at the push of the button. Sport setting now has its own adjustment.

TECH INFO:

The Synergy 4bv3 uses 3 chips, one of which is a state of the art microcontroller making this a genuinely digital product. It uses 2 channels - one processes the MAP signal (unlike rival products - even those costing 3 times the price that only use the map signal to turn their box on and off) and the other controls the fuelling. 

The controls enables you choose where the extra performance starts and how much performance boost is available.

Fitting is straightforward: one cable simply plugs in between the map (boost pressure sensor) and its plug and then a short cable with a 2pin plug is attached to the injection pump wiring near the ecu, the Synergy cable then plugs into this. This is not rocket science if fiddly, but IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY TO CONNECT TO THE WIRING DO NOT BUY. Full instructions are supplied.

This listing is for the non common rail Mitsubishis with the 2.5L or 3.2L non common rail engine and comes with fitting and using instructions, cable ties, adjusting tool and velcro for attachment to the engine bay. Fits the 115/133bhp 2.5L and 160bhp 3.2L NON COMMON RAIL engines.

PLEASE NOTE: these models require 2wires attaching to the engine ecu plug or injection pump harness, but other cable is fast plug-in to the MAP sensor. DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO CONNECT THE TWO WIRES (instructions are provided and its not rocket science, if a bit fiddly)
