FLAVOUR PROFILES

Smokey: Hickory Wood Smoke. Very Savoury. Hickory wood smoke is a commonly used wood smoke and is used in many products like the smoking of Bacon, so most people are very familiar and comfortable with the Flavour. Some people even liken it to Bacon.

Chargrill: Woody but a lot softer or smoother than the Smokey, it has a Hickory Wood Smoke, with a natural char and onion powder. It tastes more like meat that has come off the barbeque that something that has been simply hung and smoked. It is a layered flavoured, the more you chew the more you discover and is really an emerging flavour.Often people who like teriyaki but find the Smokey a bit savoury enjoy the Chargrill because the onion powder adds a slight sweetness to it.

Teriyaki: Medium strength Teriyaki Flavour, (Soy sauce, sesame, ginger, and garlic) that is more savoury than sweet. Notes of Garlic and Black pepper as well. One of our bestselling flavours. we call it our Family flavour.

Chilli: A Medium Chilli flavour that is only slightly sweet, a reasonably simple flavour, that has strong notes of the birds eye chilli.Extremely popular with Children that like chilli flavour.

Smokin’ Hot: A nice strong prominent wood smoke that dominates the initial taste of the product, a lovely layered flavour that produces a nice chilli bite on the end. Classified as a medium chilli, it does not somehow seem as hot as the plain Chilli Jerky variety. Great for winter as the woodiness and the spice combination are very warming and comforting. A very satisfying and stimulating product. Our most popular Chilli Flavour, popular with just about everyone who enjoys chilli, regardless of their spice tolerance.

Mexicana: A spicy Flavour that tastes a lot like Chilli Con Carne an extremely popular Mexican dish. It has a very deep spicy taste without being too hot and it classified as MILD in the Chilli department. An extremely popular alternative to the other Chilli varieties as it can be shared with the whole family, very flavoursome. Has notes of Lime and Ginger.

Extra Hot: While not as hot as the Devil’s Doo Doo, the Extra Hot is not for the faint of heart. Made with the Ghost Chilli Pepper, which pacts a serious punch with an average of 948,213 Scoville Heat Units, it offers a hot and tasty experience.

Devils Doo Doo: For a super-hot experience, I would recommend braving the Devils Doo Doo. Made with the fearsome Carolina Reaper which has an average of 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units. It is truly for the daring and experienced chilli lovers.


Warning: Both the Devils Doo Doo and the Extra Hot are extremely hot, and we do not recommend touching sensitive areas after handling the product and should not be within children’s reach EVER. As such we take no responsibility for one’s reaction to the product.

Due to the cost of the Carolina Reaper and Ghost Pepper, it cost more to manufacture these products so 100g of Extra hot and 60g of Devils Doo Doo cost the same as 120g of any other jerky flavour

All our Jerky and Biltong is made from Free Range Grass Fed Beef, sourced from the rolling pastures of the Northern Rivers. This Beef is classified as NO ADDED HORMONES.

We DO NOT ADD any artificial preservatives, fillers, Glazes, bulking agents or MSG.

Storage information is different for Biltong and for Jerky. Jerky is produced with a 12 month shelf life and Biltong with a 2 - 3 week shelf life, depending on the time of the year. When put in the fridge biltong will last for months.

Both Products can be frozen.

These products are Air- Dried at low temperatures and are not cooked. This is classified as a raw food. The benefits of this are that the proteins, minerals and vitamins contained within the meat are Bio-available which means that they remain intact and very easy for the body to extract them from the foods. The meat does not become carcinogenic as this only occurs when meats are cooked.
