Handknitted small baby/toddler blanket, made by me with pompom yarn. I designed it to be a comforter type of blanket that can be carried about by a toddler on the move, or so that parents have something smaller for a car journey. This is a yarn that until knitted up, looks like lots of mini multi-coloured fleece balls stuck onto multicoloured thread at regular intervals. The blanket is pale red and is reversible due to the way that it has been knitted. It is soft and cuddly and measures 41cm (16 inches) wide by 35cm (14 inches) long, including a crochet trim top and bottom, a couple of the photos show how it will keep little toes cosy whilst they are in the car seat of a travel system. I knitted something similar for my son and after his nanny saw it and cuddled it and commented on how snuggly it was, he daren't take it out of his bedroom - just in case it finds itself rehomed! My daughter has a similar blanket, made 8 years ago, and still snuggles down with it at bedtime

It can be machine washed at 40 degrees, however the ball band advised against tumble drying, even on a low setting. Like most knitted items, the best way to ensure that this blanket will last for several years is to handwash it. This item was produced from scratch and comes from a smoke free, pet free, hard working, low income household, sales genuinely help me to feed and clothe my own children.

The blanket weighs 150g approximately, but feels very light.

I have 39 years of knitting experience (I started knitting aged 6, so I'm not a little old lady) and firmly believe that selling a unique, handmade item shouldn't necessarily mean a hefty pricetag, however, I would like the costs of creating this item to be met and have priced it accordingly, including postage, and what would normally be my profit will be going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital appeal to help both sick children and their families. I am allowing sensible best offers. I will dispatch the item via Royal Mail First Class upon safe receipt of payment. Naturally prompt payment will result in a quicker dispatch and you will be able to use and enjoy the item sooner.

I will dance a happy little dance when this beautiful item sells, it will make me happy when it finds a home
