Throughout the 1990’s a war between the Nations’ 2 largest 1%er motorcycle clubs came to a climax at a all Harley-Davidson National Drag Race Event at Lancaster Speedway in Lancaster, NY (a suburb of Buffalo, NY). The bad blood began spilling over on the evening of Saturday September 24th 1994 with a fight between respective club lieutenants at a local bar. The unrelenting ill will boiled over into a full-blown riot the next morning at the race track. The Outlaws arrived in the speedway parking lot at around 8:30 am on Sunday September 25th 1994 and started partying. At approximately 9:00 am, the Hells Angels made their entrance and the two clubs began filling into the infield pit in anticipation of the first race at 10:00 am. The starting flag never dropped. Before the Harleys roared their engines that day, fists were thrown, shots rang out and pedestrians, including women and children, were ducking for cover. Almost 100 1%er bikers began brawling with guns, knives, & other various weapons for nearly an hour. Lancaster National Speedway officials immediately closed the track and cancelled the day’s all Harley-Davidson National Drag Race Championship Event. After the fight ended 2 lay dead (1 Outlaw & 1 Hells Angel) & 8 others were hospitalized with serious injuries. 15 people were arrested and 6 eventually faced criminal prosecutions for their roles in the violence that day. Police confiscated an artillery of guns, baseball bats, brass knuckles, ax handles, & knives from different bikers that day.
